Company Profile

Xiangyang Guowang Composite Insulators Co., Ltd. (Formerly known as Xiangfan Guowang Composite Insulators Co., Ltd.) , who is top manufacturer for silicone rubber polymer long rod insulator and composite post insulator, was located in High & New Tech Park of Xiangyang City (Formerly name is Xiangfan City). She was established in 1988 while the company name was Xiangfan Electric Power Equipment Plant, and in 1997, the company was incorporated and registered as Xiangfan Guowang Composite Insulators Co., Ltd. In 2012, the company was merged in Nari Group Corporation.

In the early 1980’s, the company has taken the lead in researching and developing composite insulators in China, and introduced her series products of TONLY™ composite insulators to utilities. All its products for various voltage applications were firstly passing tests and accredited with national level in China, and its 500kV AC and DC, 800kV DC and 1000kV AC composite insulators were firstly served in the power grid of China.

Due to the service experiences gained, TONLY™ composite insulators have been recognized as very reliable components for HV transmission lines, and have become the first batch of highly recommended equipment for use in the National Urban and Rural Power Grid Reconstruction Engineering. Up to now, there have been more than 15,000,000 units of varied TONLY™ composite insulators served in HV and EHV transmission lines with safety and reliability, they have covered 30 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions of China.

Besides, our composite insulators can also be manufactured according to ANSI, BS, AS, DIN or other standards. Also, the insulators can be made according to customers’ requirements.

EXPERIENCE

Now we have exported composite insulators to many countries such as Italy, The Netherlands, Greece, Cyprus, Chile, Peru, Brazil, Colombia, Morocco, Zambia, Ethiopia, Jordan, Oman, Iran, Vietnam, Philippines, India and etc. Now the company have set up an annually production capacity of 1,000,000 pcs of composite insulator (converted into 110kV product) and have about 440 employees.

Company History

• In1987, Xiangfan Electric Power Equipments Factory decided to develop and produce the composite insulator.
• In1988, the first composite insulator of China was produced in Xiangyang Electirc Power Equipments Factory.
• In June 1991, TONLY™ 500KV composite insulators were put into operation in Gezhou Dam-Shuanghe transmission line, which filled the gap in the field of domestic high voltage composite insulators.
• In June 1991, Large-tonnage 500KV composite insulator won the gold prize of “National Torch High Technology and Product Exhibition Conference”
• In 1993, 500KV composite insulator was assessed as “National New Product” by National Science and Technology Commisssion.
• In1997, Xiangyang Guowang Company passed ISO9002 International Quality System Certification and 220KV product quality certification in the same industry in China.
• In 1997,Xiangyang Guowang Composite Insulators Co.,Ltd was established which was specialized in developing and producing composite insulators.
• In October 1999, the products of Xiangyang Guowang Composite Insulators Co.,Ltd. Passed 5000 hours aging test under operating voltage simulating weather conditions in KEMA lab of Nertherlands.
• In November 2001, the products of Xiangyang Guowang Company passed the type test in CESI lab of Italy.
• In September 2006, 1000KV and ±800KV Extra High Voltage composite insulators passed the technical appraisal, and all of the experts had a same opinion that the TONLY? Extra High Voltage AC & DC composite insulators had reached the international advanced level.
• In March 2007, the new plant of Xiangyang Guowang Composite Insulators Co.,Ltd went into operation.
• In June 2007, the delegation from Power Grid Corporation of India visited to Xiangyang Guowang Composite Insulators Co.,Ltd.
• In December 2007, 1000KV AC composite insulator which produced by Xiangyang Guowang Composite Insulators Co.,Ltd won national key new product certificate.
• In March 2008, the railway composite insulator produced by Xiangyang Guowang Composite Insulator was assessed as to reach advanced level at home and abroad.
• In August 2008, Xiangyang Guowang Composite Insulators Co.,Ltd took the lead in passing Environmental Management System, Occupational Health and Safety Management System.

• In March 2009, Xiangyang Guowang Composite Insulator Co.,Ltd was assessed as key high-tech enterprise of “National Torch Plan”.
• In May 2009, Xiangyang Guowang Composite Insulators Co.,Ltd was invited to participate in “2009 INMR WORLD CONGRESS”
• In May 2009, Xiangyagn Guowang Company which its1000KV Extra High Voltage composite insulator was assessed as national independent innovation product.
• In 2010, Xiangyang Guowang Composite Insulators Co.,Ltd expand production capacity once again, we will build a new injection molding production line and then we will have annually production capacity of 2000000 pcs of standard composite insulators.
• In 2011, Xiangyang Guowang Composite Insulators Co.,Ltd won the contract to produce ±400KV insulators used in Golmud-Lhasa transmission line which at an elevation of 6470 meters above sea level.
• In Aug 2012, The equity transfer agreement had been signed, Xiangyang Guowang Composite Insulators become a branch company of State Grid Electric Power Research Institute (NARI Group Corporation).
• In Oct 2012,Xiangyagn Guowang Composite Insulators Co.,Ltd successfully produced insulating sleeve used in electric railway contact net.
• In Feb 2013, Xianyang Guowang Composite Insulators Co.,Ltd universal adjustable spacer was patented and extra high voltage ±800KV composite insulators was listed in National Torch Plan.
• In May 2013, Xiangyang Guowang Composite Insulators Co.,Ltd the fifth times won “Hubei Famous brand”.
• In June 2013, Xiangyang Guowang Composite Insulators Co.,Ltd fiber insulators was listed in National 863 New Material Technology Development Project.
• In Sep 2013, Xiangyang Guowang Composite Insulators Co.,Ltd extra high voltage AC 1000KV insulators successfully accepted by “National Torch Plan”.
• In Dec 2013, Xiangyang Guowang Composite Insulators Co.,Ltd successfully build arrester production line.
• In Dec 2013, Product of Xiangyang Guowang Composite Insulators Co.,Ltd passed type test and large arc experiment in EGU and ZKU high voltage Lab.
• In 2014, Xiangyang Guowang Composite Insulators Co.,Ltd registered capital increased to 10 million dollars.
• In Dec 2014, Xiangyang Guowang Composite Insulators Co.,Ltd “high temperature sealed mold”、”anti-explosion structure of composite arrester “ was patented.
